Bajkowa Bydgoszcz (Fairytale Bydgoszcz)

This time, a few words about a "little" trip. On the occasion of Children's Day, we were invited to participate in an event organized by the Management Department of UTP on the Mill Island in Bydgoszcz. It was a fantastic idea developed by the amazing social life animators, Dr. Eng. M. Zajdel and Dr. Eng. M. Michalcewicz-Kaniowska. Unfortunately, our little one fell into a sweet sleep already at 11:30 a.m., so we couldn't take part in the parade of fairytale characters. Nevertheless, we had a great time at the excellently organized fair. After long and intense discussions about the choice of costume, we decided on the classic "Beauty and the Beast" ensemble. According to Robert, it was more like the Beauty and the Beast arrangement in the company of a husband and daughter :)... but that's his subjective opinion... Okay... maybe subjectively accurate... Initially, Pia felt a bit uneasy in the presence of thousands of joyfully playing residents of B...

Majówka 2014 - Wyspa Kos (May's long weekend 2014 - Kos Island)

After a few weeks since returning to Poland, we felt the urge to go somewhere again. Easter and the long May weekend were approaching, so we started looking for something interesting and cheaper than Polish tourist resorts, which tend to be particularly expensive during the holiday season. By chance, while passing by a travel agency, we noticed an attractively priced "deal of the day," unfortunately with a departure from Katowice. Coincidentally, a few days before the flight, Robert had a several-day meeting in Krakow, so as you can imagine, the plan to "escape from Torun" immediately emerged. A short trip to Krakow for a few days (where the inviting institution provided us with a free hotel), followed by 7 days in Greece at an unbelievably good price. Everything was going well, but on the day of departure to Krakow, Pia developed a high fever. Robert went alone, and we hoped that our little one would quickly recover. Luckily, that's what happened, and we didn...

Gwadelupa- Koszmarny powrót do domu (Guadeloupe - A horrific journey back home)

The departure of our plane was scheduled for late afternoon. Unfortunately, we had to hand over our suitcases for transport the previous evening before leaving the ship. Since Costa couldn't guarantee us reserved seats on the plane for families with children, we decided to arrive at the airport a bit earlier. For a few euros, we comfortably reached the airport, where no one, including the security staff, could point us to the location of our check-in. It turned out that ship passengers were being checked in at nearby hangars. Among the pile of suitcases, we also spotted ours. Unfortunately, one of them was completely damaged (with a missing wheel). After the baggage check-in, we reached the security gates. Due to Pia, we were allowed to go through a separate lane, and after "less than an hour," we arrived at the departure hall. Our friends had been waiting in a stuffy, crowded room for 2.5 hours! The passengers were so outraged that it bordered on a revolt. The situation ...

Island number 11 - Dominica (Wyspa nr 11)

This island seemed the least interesting. I have never heard any opinions about Dominica. Most people associate Dominica with the Dominican Republic and are not even aware of the existence of this island. Feeling saddened by our impending return home, we arrived in Roseau early in the morning, unsure if we would even disembark. The initial impressions from the eighth floor, where our restaurant was located, were also debatable. The ship docked at a massive pier that led straight to the city center, where a crowd of locals offering tourist attractions was swirling. As you already know, we can't stand crowds, especially pushy hustlers. So we were close to giving up on sightseeing. However, curiosity proved stronger. When the crowd finally thinned out, most of the excursionists set off on their routes, and without specific plans, we also went ashore. Robert ran to the tourist information, while we started strolling around the city, which became increasingly charming with every step. A...
