Pia in Utah - Bonneville Salt Flats

With only two free days at our disposal (when Robert didn't have any meetings and could leave the city), we decided to make the most of our available time. The first item on our list was the famous speed test location - a perfectly flat surface of a dried-up salt lake. I must admit that the idea of driving over 100 miles just to see the test area seemed controversial to me, to say the least. However, it was an opportunity to take a break and admire the magnificent landscapes of Utah. Pia, after long walks and a very intense schedule in Salt Lake City, clearly needed some peace and quiet. After an hour and a half, we arrived at the Bonneville Salt Flats. It's hard to describe what we saw. A completely flat, white surface without any hills, vegetation, or buildings.
