New Year Celebration

In 2023, we celebrated the arrival of the New Year at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai with a large group of friends. The party was fantastic. On the first day of the New Year, we headed to Hatta to enjoy the attractions of this wonderful place. Unfortunately, my adventurous spirit led to a pretty serious wrist injury. Thankfully, the hospital confirmed that the painful injury was just a sprain, not a fracture. As always, the New Year started off interestingly!

W pierwszy dzień Nowego Roku wybraliśmy się do Hatta, aby skorzystać z atrakcji tego wspaniałego miejsca. Niestety moje szaleństwa zakończyły się dość poważnym urazem nadgarstka. Na szczęście w szpitalu okazało się, że bolesna kontuzja to tylko skręcenie, a nie złamanie. Jak zwykle, Nowy Rok zaczął się interesująco!

Podczas naszych poprzednich pobytów w Omanie usłyszeliśmy wiele pochlebnych opinii na temat Salalah. Zarówno rodowici Omańczycy jak i rezydenci wypowiadali się w samych superlatywach na temat bujnej roślinności, pięknych gór i czystego, ciepłego morza. Nie obowiązują ich kolejki, uważają, że należy im się pierwszeństwo w każdej możliwej sytuacji. Ponadto mają wyjątkowo ambiwalentny stosunek do pracy. Można mieć wrażenie, że przesiadka z wielbłąda do Lexusa negatywnie wpłynęła na odbiór rzeczywistości. Z takimi sytuacjami nie spotkaliśmy się w Muskacie. Kolejny problem to pozycja kobiety. Most of us associate Utah with Salt Lake City, which hosted the Winter Olympics in 2002 and the Mormons, who are particularly numerous in this state.
