Robert's hunt for a cheap flight to Iceland proved successful. Unfortunately, this time my spouse found a flight from Katowice. This year we seem to have good luck with trips where the journey to the airport takes longer than the flight itself. But enough complaining. Iceland turned out to be another absolutely fantastic destination. Pia was incredibly excited about our daily adventures. We chose the Hilton Nordic in Reykjavik as our base. It was a nice and cozy hotel with excellent cuisine and a good SPA, unfortunately not accessible to children. In 7 days, we traveled over 1600 kilometers, visiting literally everything (sometimes twice) in the triangle of Keflavik, Vik, and Gullfoss. We were also very tempted to go deeper into this wonderful island, but our aversion to risk and common sense prevailed. Maybe we will realize our plans with better weather.
